About Me

Aviv Yecheskel

For a long time, music was at the center of my life, especially the violin. Later, mathematics and physics joined the picture at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. To me, both speak the very same language: they are about rhythm, precision, and the joy of unraveling complex patterns without losing a feel for the whole.

This mindset also shapes my leadership work at UBS. I love bringing people with diverse talents together, tackling major initiatives, and untangling what seem like impossible knots. What fascinates me anew each day: the real art rarely lies in the systems, but in the interpersonal space. Technology can open doors, but trust, courage, and enthusiasm are qualities we must bring in ourselves.

That is precisely why I am drawn to the world of education with such energy. Whether I am teaching at the Zurich University of Teacher Education (PHZH), discovering the world with my son, or reflecting on the future of learning, I feel that same spark: I want to help shape environments where no one has to bend out of shape to make a meaningful difference. To me, leadership is neither about loudness nor power, but about presence, reliability, and a genuine commitment to backing others up.
